(Bristol, PA, USA) – On May 31st, 2020, a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft successfully docked with the International Space Station after launching from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, altering the course of commercial spaceflight forever. Aboard the Crew Dragon were NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley, marking the first time SpaceX has successfully launched a crewed mission. After the launch, the first-stage booster landed autonomously in the Atlantic Ocean. Behnken and Hurley are expected to work on the ISS for 30 to 90 days, returning to Earth in August 2020. The SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft is the first to be designed, built and launched to space by a private entity. PulseR congratulates SpaceX and NASA on the successful launch and docking, and for the historic Demo-2 mission.
